Description

The dawn of his famously scrutinized legal career

DS, partly filled out by Kennedy and signed “John Kennedy,” one page, 8.5 x 11, June 13, 1988. A summer clerk employment form from the law firm of Manatt, Phelps, Rothenberg & Phillips, giving Kennedy’s name and address, listing his mother, “Mrs. J. Onassis,” as emergency contact, and giving his salary as $1,110 per week and his billing rate as $75 per hour. Kennedy served his internship at this law firm a year before he was appointed assistant district attorney in Manhattan after famously passing the bar exam after two failed attempts. Staple holes, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
