Partly printed DS as president, signed “Andrew Jackson,” one page on vellum, 11.5 x 15, January 9, 1834. A patent issued to Eliphalet C. Vott for a new and useful improvement “for preventing the Waste of Heat in Cooking Stoves, applicable to other furnaces.” Countersigned by Louis N. Lane as Secretary of State and B. F. Butler as Attorney General. The embossed paper and ribbon seal remains intact at lower left. In very good condition, with intersecting folds (vertical fold lightly touching “J”) a touch of mild soiling and wrinkling, slightly irregular ink adhesion, and a few small blots to last name.
