In full: “I have concluded to retain the Atlas in two volumes which I brought home, at $18, and herewith return the other in one volume. If you have any other bill against me individually, I will thank you to send it up with this and I will pay it….” Letter tipped to larger sheet at left edge, and very faint intersecting folds (vertical fold just touching “F”), otherwise very fine, fresh condition.
