In full, “Please give to my grandson Master Freeman Allen a copy of the Holiday Edition of Uncle Tom’s Cabin (8 vo. full gilt price $3.50) & charge to me.” Double matted and framed with a biographical plaque and a portrait of Stowe, to an overall size of 11.5 x 21.5. Intersecting folds, a purple check mark and light “charged” stamp to text, mild soiling to left edge, and a pencil notation to lower right corner, otherwise fine condition.
