Original and early vintage Santa Fe & Disneyland Railroad ticket, signed on the reverse in purple crayon by Disney. Double suede matted and framed with another ticket showing the front, a color Disneyland postcard, and a nice color portrait of Walt Disney himself, to an overall size of 15.75 x 25. The Disneyland Railroad was inspired by Walt Disney’s love for trains and his live steam backyard Carolwood Pacific Railroad, a love he shared with Disney animators Ward Kimball and Ollie Johnston. Until 1974, it was sponsored by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, during which time it operated as the Santa Fe & Disneyland Railroad. In fine condition, with Disney signing over a July 27, 1957, Disneyland validation stamp resulting in some light contrast, and both tickets a bit loose in display. In 1957, a station was added for Fantasyland and a shorter green ticket strip with tabs was issued with three stations listed. In 1958, another station was added in Tomorrowland. After 1958, the strip tickets were discontinued, making the ticket itself rather scarce. PSA/DNA Auction LOA and R&R COA.. Oversized.
