Much-lauded baseball pitcher (1884–1954) inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1953, a year before his death. Charles A. Bender Philadelphia Athletics business card, signed along the top in fountain pen, “‘Chief’ Bender.” Card is from the time period that Bender worked as a pitching scout under the thumb of Connie Mack, the Legendary manager whom he played the majority of his career for. Double matted and framed with an unsigned gold Hall of Fame plaque card, to an overall size of 11.5 x 9.5. A few mild creases and a touch of surface loss, otherwise fine condition.
