Ink signature, “P. T. Barnum, Dec. 24th, 1887,” on an off-white 3 x 1.25 card. The card is lightly affixed to the front blank of an 1897 printing of Barnum’s book Forest and Jungle, or Thrilling Adventures in All Quarters of the Globe: An Illustrated History of the Animal Kingdom. In fine condition, with a hint of very subtle soiling to card and mild wear and light staining to covers of book, and front hinge very slightly loose. R&R COA.
