In part: “I want to send a brief note of thanks to you as a member of the Finance Committee of the Pre-Convention Campaign. I appreciate deeply not only your generous contribution of money toward the fund, but the time and thought you have given toward making the campaign successful. I know that I can depend on your continued co-operation and that our united efforts will culminate in a Democratic Victory in November….” Accompanied by an unsigned original photo of a younger Roosevelt addressing a crowd; Eleanor Roosevelt is visible before the white column at left.
