Description

Journalist, politician, editor, and founder of the New York Tribune (1811–1872). ALS, one page, 5.25 x 8, Office of the Tribune letterhead, June 17, 1866. Greeley agrees to give a lecture. In part, “I must and will lecture to your Association this winter, if you can fix it so that I may do so the night before New Hampshire Thanksgiving.” Double cloth matted and framed with a portrait of Greeley, to an overall size of 16.5 x 14.5. In fine condition. R&R COA.
