Remembering his final birthday on his final Halloween

ALS, one page, 5.5 x 3.5, Sagamore Hill letterhead, October 31, 1918. Roosevelt writes to his Aunt Jobrika. In full: “It was just like you to remember my birthday. I am so glad that I saw your attractive Maine summer home. With love, ever yours….” Roosevelt died just over two months later, on January 6, 1919. A hint of mild soiling and vertical crease (well away from signature; lightly touching a few letters of text), otherwise fine, bright condition. Auction LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
