In part, “I am arranging to send you three of those books and to send the other three to Mr. Murphy. I had a wonderful meeting in Wichita with the American Legion and had a chance to talk to the Commander and other Legionnaires and communicated to them the things of which you and I talked.” At the conclusion Truman adds, in his on hand, “I only had four. Sent you two and Murphy two.” In very good condition, with staple hole to top left, several mailing folds, one lightly across signature, and some scattered light soiling.
