Partly printed DS as president, signed “J. Tyler,” one page, 20.75 x 16.25, October 27, 1843. A four-language ship’s papers issued to Albert Wood, “master or commander of the ship called Gold Hunter … lying at present in the port of Fall River, bound for South Atlantic and laden with Provisions, Stores, and Utensils for a whaling voyage….” Countersigned by Hugh S. Legaré as secretary of state. The two embossed paper seals remain intact. A few short separations along intersecting folds (horizontal fold through signature), light wrinkling, and a few spots of faint offsetting from seal (lightly touching countersignature), otherwise fine, bright condition.
