1852 whaling ship’s papers

Partly printed DS as president, one page, 21.25 x 16.5, July 17, 1852. A four-language ship’s papers issued to Edward Harding, “master or commander of the ship called Arnolda … lying at present in the port of New Bedford, bound for Pacific Ocean and laden with Provisions, Stores, and Utensils for a whaling voyage….” Countersigned by Daniel Webster as secretary of state. The two embossed paper seals remain intact. A few tiny holes and short separations along intersecting folds (horizontal fold just touching bottom of first name) and a touch of mild wrinkling and soiling, otherwise fine, bright condition.
