Two items: Unsigned ink docket in Lincoln’s hand, “Loudy vs. Cayle, Declaration,” on a lightly lined 3 x 7.5 slip from a legal document dated in another hand December 27, 1847; and a similar docket, “Lettler ad. Young, Affidavit,” on a lightly lined 3 x 7.75 slip. The “Cayle” of the first document was likely Luscious Cayle, an Illinois merchant Lincoln represented on two other occasions. Scattered toning (touching a few letters) and chipping to second document (not touching writing), otherwise very good condition. Auction LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
