Legendary Native American athlete, the first man to win both the decathlon and the pentathlon at the Olympic Games (1912). After being barred from amateur athletics for having played semi-pro baseball, Thorpe went on to become a football star of legendary stature. He is widely considered the greatest all-around athlete of all time.
