Early partially printed DS, signed “M. V. Buren, atty.” and additionally docketed on the reverse “M. V. Buren,” one page, 8 x 5.75, September 17 [circa 1809]. A warrant issued against Hannah Gardenier “to answer unto Martin Van Buren in a plea of trespass on the case to his damage one hundred & fifty dollars.” The embossed paper seal remains intact at center left. Accompanied by a 19th-century engraving. In very good condition, with vertical folds (partial separations and associated toning; fold, with toning, lightly touching two letters of last name) and faint offsetting of seal touching text.
