TLS as president, one page, 6.5 x 8, White House letterhead, June 18, 1923. Letter to a concerned citizen regarding the Transportation Act. In part, “I am glad to have your views of the Transportation Act and can appraise your concern about Congress taking up the question at the next session. I think I share your feelings to a greater or less degree. It is hoping for the impossible, however, to expect Congress to ignore this great question. Our problem is not one of having the question, let alone, but of avoiding destructive enactment.” Double matted and framed with a Pach Bros. photo of Harding, to an overall size of 18.75 x 14.5.
