Partially printed DS as president, signed “J. Q. Adams,” one page, approximately 12.75 x 16, July 29, 1826. A grant for a parcel of land under the provisions of the 1790 act “Enabl[ing] the Officers of the Virginia Line on Continental Establishment, to obtain titles to certain lands….” The document bears intersecting storage folds, light scattered soiling and a few faint stains, a small crease near but not touching signature, and substantial losses (evidently rodent-related) to the top and right edges, resulting in missing portions to text. The signature itself, however, is clear, clean, and unaffected, and easily rates fine. R&R COA.
