Lavigne was a make-up artist at MGM for more than 50 years, working on The Wizard of Oz and more than 100 films. Hepburn writes: “Each year they seem better - Am I ever on top of a huge Christmas dinner and I plan pudding & candy for luck. They arrived in perfect condition & each night disappeared as mist before your eyes - consumed by sixteen Hepburns. Thank you a thousand times we had a wonderful Christmas - hope you did too - see you in 10 days.” Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Hepburn’s hand. In very fine condition.
