Signed and inscribed in thick, black felt tip on the half-title page, “To Charles Catlin, Best wishes, Walt Disney.” The book Our Friend the Atom (together with Heinz Haber) were produced as part of an effort by the Eisenhower administration to enhance the image of nuclear energy. One of the first examples of commercial “synergy,” this book was a tie-in to the film of the same name as well as an exhibit at Disneyland’s Tomorrowland.
