TLS, one page, 7.25 x 11, personal letterhead, November 12, 1928. Letter written as president-elect, thanking a member of the Vermont Republican State Committee. In part, “I wish to express my appreciation of the ability and devotion which you have contributed to the organization of the campaign in your state. The astonishing endorsement which we have received is not only a tribute to sound government which the party has given, and the issues which we have advanced, but it is a tribute to the manner in which you have presented them to the people and particularly the women who have played so large a part in our success.” An even shade of toning, intersecting mailing folds, and a few wrinkles, otherwise fine condition.
