Signed at the bottom in ink, “James Monroe,” and countersigned by the Commissioner of the General Land Office, Joshua Meigs. Matted and framed by Goodspeed’s Book Shop, the legendary Boston bookshop where it was once offered for sale, to an overall size of 23 x 17.5. In very good condition, with intersecting storage folds, two lightly affecting signature, scattered toning and soiling, removed seal, and handwritten portions of document a few shades light.
