Description

American inventor and entrepreneur (1854–1932), founder of the Eastman Kodak company, whose invention of roll film revolutionized photography and helped make the once-specialized art and craft a popular pastime. TLS signed “Geo. Eastman,” one page, 8.5 x 7.5, Eastman Kodak letterhead, June 19, 1912. Eastman writes to Dr. E. R. L. Gould in New York City. In full: “Thinking you may want to see the State Fire Marshall, I am sending you herewith clipping from today’s Rochester Evening Times.” Intersecting mailing folds touching signature and scattered rippling, otherwise fine condition.
