Description

American politician (1919–1998) who, as Governor of Alabama, became notorious for his vocal position against racial integration, which he later recanted. During his 1972 presidential campaign, he was shot by a would-be assassin, leaving him paralyzed. Printed menu for a fund-raising appearance in Indiana on August 16, 1968, 14 x 10, signed in ballpoint. Accompanied by five examples of original Wallace campaign ephemera: a printed acetate necktie, a campaign materials price list, and three pinback buttons. In very good condition, with folds (one through signature), light soiling and a few stains, and light handling wear. R&R COA.
