American statesman and lawyer (1860–1925) who, among other accomplishments, was a three-time Democratic presidential candidate, served as Wilson’s Secretary of State, and participated in the celebrated Scopes “Monkey Trial” of 1925. Vintage 3.25 x 5.5 photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Dr. Benjamin, Compliments of W. J. Bryan.” Matted and framed with a photo of Bryan campaigning, to an overall size of 15.5 x 9.5.
