Daniel Boone’s guardian angel?

Kentucky frontiersman. He was active in the defense of the frontier - he is credited with saving Boone’s life during an Indian attack at Boonesburough. DS, one page, 8 x 13, April 6, 1795. Legal document concerning a settlement paid by Kenton. In full, “Know all men by these presents that I Simon Kenton of the County of Mason & State of Kentucky am held & firmly bound unto Thompson Ware of the County & State aforesaid in the Penal Sum of Three Hundred pounds Good & Lawful money of Kentucky; I bend myself my heirs Exors, Admors and Assigns firmly by these presents sealed with my seal and dated this 6th day of April 1795. The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Simon Kenton his Heirs Exors Admors or assigns do shall well & truly pay unto the above named Thompson Ware his Heirs & c the just & full sum of One Hundred & fifty pounds in like money as mentioned above, on or before the 1st day of September next ensuing for & in consideration of 1000 acres of land sold the said Kenton then this obligation to be void else to remain in full force & virtue in Law.” In good condition, with scattered toning and water staining, affecting appearance but surprisingly not the signature, and a repair to the separation along the bisecting horizontal fold.
