In full: “Mr. Ricketts of this city was presented to me by Mr. S— Colquith of Georgia, who vouched for him as a person of good character—and in all respects meritorious. I promised Mr. Colquith to bring his case to your notice. Will you do him the favour to see him? He will explain to you his wishes.” Matted and framed with a nineteenth century engraving to an overall size of 13.5 x 20.
