British engineer (1806–1859) who created the Great Western Railway. ALS signed “Mc. Is. Brunel,” one page, 5 x 4.245, May 15, 1825. Brunel writes to an unnamed gentlemen. In full: “I shall do myself the pleasure of joining your party on Thursday next, provided you will favour me with your company on Tuesday next at dinner at 6 o’clock. The Baron will be with us, Mr. Gurney and a few friends.” In fine condition, with light wrinkling and small loss to blank corner at lower left. R&R COA.
