Some corrections are accepted others let go…. I am still astonished at the possible number of mistakes & errors. I have added at the heading a few words which I consider necessary to explain—that this is merely a verbatim extract from my journal!” The letter has been tipped into a first-edition copy of the 1911 book John LaFarge: A Memoir and Study by Royal Cortissoz. In very good condition, with light scattered soiling and a few small chips and tears to blank portions of letters, and overall handling wear, light spotting, and a few loose pages to book. R&R COA.
