Otto Frank was the father of diarist Anne Frank and the only member of his family to survive the concentration camps. Gies was one of the people who helped to hide Anne Frank’s family. She also found Anne’s diary and gave it to Otto Frank after the war, when it became clear that Anne had not survived the holocaust. ALS, signed Otto Frank, on the inside of a Christmas card. In part, “It was so kind of you to remember us…The Foundation is developing steadily.”; and a brief TLS, signed “Miep Gies,” dated October 3, 1989. Gies writes, “Inclosed [sic] the signed envelopes and I hope I did it well.” In fine condition. R&R COA.
