Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court from 1930 to 1941. Vintage sepia matte-finish 11 x 14 photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Honorable Lewis L. Fawcett, with high esteem, Charles E. Hughes, May 14, 1935.” Fawcett held the position of Justice of the New York Supreme Court from 1920 to 1940. In very good condition, with a few tears, largely in the borders, with largest one repaired on reverse, some scattered edge wear, a chip to the lower right corner. R&R COA.
