Four ALS, various lengths and formats, 1858–59, regarding personnel matters, a “Cuban Patent,” and including a biting letter on a matter related to the building of engines in which Ericsson responds to an “impertient” letter from James Hogg “containing an insinuation that you have traced to me certain slanderous reports.” In very good to fine condition, with scattered light soiling and wrinkles, and marginal tears and chips to “angry” letter.
