Former slave (1818–1895) who lent his eloquent, powerful voice to the abolitionist movement. Partially printed DS, signed “Fredk. Douglass,” two pages both sides, 8.5 x 14, March 4, 1884. A deed signed by Douglass in his capacity as Recorder of Deeds in Washington, D.C. In good condition, with soiling, toning and separations along folds.
