Description

Former slave (1818–1895) who lent his eloquent, powerful voice to the abolitionist movement. Partially printed DS, signed “Fredk. Douglass,” two pages both sides, 8.5 x 14, March 4, 1884. A deed signed by Douglass in his capacity as Recorder of Deeds in Washington, D.C. In good condition, with soiling, toning and separations along folds. The signature is clear, dark, and generally unaffected. R&R COA.
