Writing a check to an important assistant

Business check, 8.25 x 3, filled out in another hand and signed by Edison, payable to William H. Hand for $52.47, November 1, 1928. Hand, who has endorsed on the reverse, was an assistant to Edison who developed a sound-improving plastic for phonograph records and invented the Hand Storage Battery. Light vertical fold and punch cancellation to signature, otherwise fine condition. R&R COA.
