In part, “When a person sits in a room by himself day after day, trying to draw something funny, and sometimes meaningful, he has no idea what effect it might be having on readers; thus, it was gratifying to hear how much the D-Day Sunday page meant to you. It astounded me how little was mentioned about such an important historical event.” Accompanied by the clipped Sunday comic Schulz refers to in his letter.
