Dick Merrill (1894–1982) and Jack Lambie (born 1910) made a round-trip crossing of the Atlantic in 1937 that was declared the first such commercial crossing of that ocean, winning the duo the Harmon Trophy. Commemorative airmail postal cover honoring the round-trip “Anglo-American Goodwill Coronation Flight,” 9.5 x 4.25, 1937, bearing a George VI coronation stamp and various related stamps and postmarks, signed in fountain pen, “Dick Merrill” and “Jack Lambie.” A few mild wrinkles, otherwise fine, clean condition.
