Partially printed DS, signed “Th: Jefferson” as president and “James Madison” as Secretary of State, one page, 15.75 x 8.25, October 3, 1806. President Jefferson grants Jacob Coy a tract of land in Ohio that “he has made payment for the South East quarter of a lot or Section number Thirty Six of Township number Three in the Sixth Range.” In very good condition, with intersecting storage folds, some scattered mild staining, trimmed top edge, and subtle irregularity to ink adhesion of Jefferson’s signature. The wafer seal is intact. A very presentable example of a most desirable combination of presidents. Auction LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
