Informing a magician of his nomination to the Society of American Magicians

TLS signed “Houdini,” one page, 5 x 6.5, personal letterhead, June 5, 1921. Letter to a fellow magician, informing him of his nomination for a membership in the Society of American Magicians. In full, “Just to inform you that at last nights meeting proposed you for membership in Society of American Magicians, as you qualify with your vanishing Doglet, and Spirit etc and so on. Drop in when the ‘Ghost moves you.’” Houdini also adds in pencil at the top left corner, “Rush letter.” Double suede-and-gilt matted and framed with two photos of Houdini and a descriptive plaque to an overall size of 29.5 x 17.5. In fine condition, with intersecting mailing folds, silvering to photos, a staple hole to top left and a touch of light toning. LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA. Oversized.
