Brilliant defense attorney noted for his role in the Scopes Monkey Trial and the Leopold–Loeb thrill killing case. TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, February 20, 1932. Letter of gratitude to a reader of his book. In part, “It was indeed good of you to write me about my book as you did. I certainly appreciate your interest in it, and to know the points that seem to have impressed you especially, and it was most kind of you to take the trouble to let me see the errors, which so many readers managed to overlook. If ever another edition comes out, the corrections you so kindly called to my attention - and a considerable number of others - shall be taken care of, if possible. It is surprising (?), that so many mistakes ‘got by’ - but perhaps other writers have trouble too.” A small glossy photo of Darrow has been affixed to lower left of letter. Aforementioned photo, a slight brush to signature and a paperclip mark to top edge, otherwise fine condition. LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
