Partially printed DS, one page, 14.5 x 10, May 14, 1866. A document appointing Almarin Young postmaster at Amsterdam, New York. Matted and framed to an overall size of 25.5 x 20.75. In very good condition, possibly mounted, with separations and small holes along folds (affecting a few words of printed text; restorations to reverse), one fold touching signature, and mild soiling with a few faint stains.
