Personal check, 8.25 x 3, filled out in another hand and signed by Disney, “Walter E. Disney,” payable to Walt Disney Special Account for $1000.00, October 17, 1956. Check is housed in a hard-plastic PSA/DNA holder, rating the check Mint 9. In fine condition, with a light crease through a small portion of last name of signature and expected stamps and cancellation holes. The label was established in 1956 under the name Disneyland Records; its first release was A Child's Garden of Verses. The company changed to its current name in 1989. Most of its output is mainly children's music and recordings, mostly based on Disney cartoons.
