American lawyer (1800–1880) who was the friend and law partner of Abraham Lincoln. Manuscript DS, signed “Lincoln & Logan,” three pages on two lightly lined 7.5 x 12.5 sheets, 1842. A brief filed with the Circuit Court judge of Sangamon County outlining the settlement of debts and sale of lands by the heirs of John Lauterman. Accompanied by a typescript on Lincoln Library [Shippensburg, Pa.] letterhead. In good condition, with light toning, show-through of writing, and separations along folds. R&R COA.
