Program and menu, 7.5 x 10 for a dinner tendered to Dieudonne Coste and Maurice Bellonte aboard the flagship Ile De France, on September 11, 1930, in honor of the first direct Paris to New York airplane flight. Signed on the cover in fountain pen by Amelia Earhart, Dieudonne Coste, Maurice Bellonte and Marcel Doret. In fine condition, with some light handling wear and a bit of light toning and soiling to cover. Earhart was a pioneering female pilot who is probably most famous for the mysterious circumstances of her death; she disappeared in 1937 somewhere in the South Pacific, near the end of an attempted round-the-world flight. Coste and Bellonte made the first nonstop flight from Paris to New York, September 1?2, 1930?4100 miles in 37 hours, 18 minutes. Nice collection with three true aviation pioneers.
