TLS, one page, 7 x 8.75, White House letterhead, June 6, 1946. Truman writes to Ole Olsen (1892–1963) of the popular comedy duo Olsen and Johnson. In full: “You don’t know how very much I appreciated your good letter of May thirtieth. It was like a breath of fresh air in a hot engine room. Without making any commitment, I am going to do my very best to slip in on one of your shows next week. Please give my best to Mr. Johnson and accept my good wishes for your continued success.” A hint of very subtle soiling, otherwise fine, crisp condition. LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
