In part, ?I have received your letter?pointing out the difficulties you experience in carrying on the duty in your department?and submitting the propriety of having the number mentioned in the margin sent out from England upon the Gibraltar Establishment. In answer to which I shall transmit a copy of your said letter to the Commissioner of His Majesty?s Navy for their consideration.? Listed in the left margin are ?1 Quarter Man; 14 Ship wrights who can caulk; 2 Blacksmiths; 2 Sawyers.? Boldly signed at the conclusion, ?Nelson & Bronte.?
