Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Delaware (1728–1784), military officer, Continental Congressman, and President of Delaware. Manuscript DS, signed on the reverse, “Examined, Caesar Rodney, Record:r,” one page both sides, 15.75 x 12.5, November 11, 1773. A manuscript indenture involving a Delaware land transaction between John Wilson and William Rodney (evidently a relative, and possibly his father, who had this name). In fair condition, with complete separations along folds (cellophane tape repairs to reverse), chips and a few holes, and two small burn marks. Happily, Rodney’s signature is clear, dark, and completely unaffected. LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
