Description

The Royal sweet tooth: “This year I put [the fudge] on the piano in the hall here which is a mecca for all the greedy people, young and old, in my family!”

ALS signed “Elizabeth R,” one page both sides, 6 x 8.25, Sandringham letterhead, January 2, 1990. Elizabeth sends holiday thanks to Miss MacGregor. In part: “Thank you for a very popular Christmas present, which arrived in good time! This year I put it on the piano in the hall here which is a mecca for all the greedy people, young and old, in my family! So we have all been sharing it. With so many different ages it has been great fun here for Christmas, especially watching the little ones enjoying themselves…. Thank you again for your present of fudge which is so appreciated.” Accompanied by the original mailing envelope addressed by Elizabeth and bearing her handwritten initials “ER.” A few faint smudges to text, otherwise clean, fine condition. LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
