ALS, one page on both sides of an engraved 4.5 x 3.5 Supreme Court note card, April 15, 1953. Frankfurter writes to noted historian Margaret Coit. In part: “If I can be of use to the ‘Calhoun’ … I shall be glad to be so. In any event, I hope to see you during your visit. And I’m confident you will succeed in your try for ‘an honest book.’” Coit won the 1951 Pulitzer Prize in Biography for her book John C. Calhoun: American Portrait. In fine condition. R&R COA.
