Seeking “memories of the President for the John Fitzgerald Kennedy Library”

TLS signed “Bob,” one page, 6.25 x 8, United States Senate letterhead, May 3, 1965. Kennedy writes to well-known historian Margaret Coit. In part: “You were thoughtful to write regarding my request that you record your memories of the President for the John Fitzgerald Kennedy Library…. The President always appreciated your talent, thus I am especially grateful for your interest. With appreciation for your book, Andrew Jackson, which I have given to my children….” Coit won the 1951 Pulitzer Prize in Biography for her book John C. Calhoun: American Portrait. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. In fine condition. R&R COA.
