Union general who was removed from command by Lincoln for failure to continue pressure on Lee’s army during the Peninsula Campaign. Fountain pen signature, “Very truly yours, Geo. B. McClellan,” on a white 3.25 x 1.75 card, dated July 5, 1880. Accompanied by a vintage engraved portrait of McClellan. In very good condition, with scattered light toning and soiling, clipped upper left corner, adhesive residue on the reverse from a previous mounting. R&R COA.
